GTA 6 launches in less than four weeks, on 19 November 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has now confirmed almost every launch detail except one that matters a lot to stream viewers: the exact unlock time. This post collects what Kick viewers need for the day, separating what is official from what is only likely.
What Rockstar has confirmed
- Release date: 19 November 2026, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC version has been announced.
- Pre-load: digital pre-orders can download the game from 12 November 2026. Boxed copies contain a download code rather than a disc and go on sale on 12 November so they can pre-load too (Rockstar Newswire; Take-Two).
- Latest video: the Launch Trailer, released on 15 October 2026 (Rockstar Games).
Pre-loading matters for viewers too. Streamers who pre-load can start the moment the game unlocks instead of waiting for a download that, according to unofficial estimates, could run to well over 100 GB. Rockstar has not published an official size.
What is not confirmed: the unlock time
Rockstar has not announced a worldwide unlock time. Store listings and several outlets point to a release at midnight local time in each region, the same pattern Rockstar used for pre-orders on 25 June and is using for pre-loads. If that holds, GTA 6 unlocks in waves, starting in the Pacific and moving west.
Here is roughly when the first streams would appear in Kick's biggest GTA communities if the midnight local pattern holds. Times are converted to UTC so you can compare them; treat them as estimates until Rockstar or the stores confirm.

Two caveats. Console stores sometimes use one time zone for a whole store region, so a streamer's region on PlayStation or Xbox may not match where they live. And creators can only stream once their own console unlocks, so a creator in Brazil cannot go live with the full game at Saudi midnight. Expect Arabic-language GTA 6 streams on Kick hours before Brazilian and Spanish-language ones.
Where to watch on Kick
The category is Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA) at kick.com/category/grand-theft-auto-vi. Do not confuse it with Grand Theft Auto V (GTA), where today's roleplay streams run. Some roleplay creators may keep their GTA V server streams going on launch night and switch later, so if someone you follow is missing from the GTA VI category, check their channel.
How busy will it be? The best guide is August's Extended Look: co-streams of that video peaked at about 3.97 million concurrent viewers across platforms, with Kick taking 20.2% of the hours watched, according to Streams Charts data reported by Inven Global. Launch day is a full game rather than a half-hour video, so it is likely to run much longer. We will not guess a number.
Setup checklist for the week before

- Hide gambling streams if you share the device with younger viewers. Kick added an opt-out for gambling content, and the Slots & Casino category is large.
- Ignore "Drops" posts. No GTA 6 Drops campaign has been announced on Kick or Twitch as of today. Our Drops page explains how to spot a real one.
- Save your picks in the list on our homepage. It stays in your browser and does not show live status; Kick's notifications do that.
If you are playing yourself
Pre-load from 12 November, keep your console updated, and leave generous free storage. If you plan to stream on Kick, test your setup on a GTA V stream first; Kick's GTA VI category will be crowded and the first hour is not the time to fix audio.
